6560 is the NTSC version of VIC-I, the video chip in VIC-20. The PAL version is called 6561.

6566 is the NTSC version of VIC-II, the video chip in C64. The PAL version is called 6567.

The chips you are likely to find in a diskdrive such as the 1541 are the 6502 (CPU) and two 6522 VIA chips for handling I/O. There are no video circuits or other custom chips in the disk drive, unless you count the VIA as a custom chip..

Thanks for the info. I just found a couple of old vics in my dad's garage, so will probably pull from those, in reference to my original question for this thread.
