Old Macintosh Games

I grew up playing the old Machintosh games through the 1900s. I remember Amazon Trail and Oregon Trail. I remember may be two other games.
There was one that was a rocket math game. You solve math problems to build your rocket then after the rocket is finished it blasts off. Does anyone remember the name of the game?
The other I think I may remember was also a math game but I think it was a sport game. May be baseball. I know I remember another math game but don't remember much about it. Does anyone know if there is a sport game like that? If not what other math games were there?
Does anyone remember any other games back then may be even the most popular ones?

I'm having trouble pronouncing your name but welcome and that sounds like a great use for the system and getting into the vintage computing hobby! I'm not sure regarding the games you mentioned but you might peruse over to Moby games and play with searching their catalog. I went ahead and linked you to educational games for Macintosh in the math category. Catch is of course it's displaying new games too so it may take some additional filtering by year or other descriptions. On the bright side they've been very good about capturing pictures of the games when available so it might trigger a memory or two if the titles don't.

Water can certainly do some damage if it rusts the system. If the water dries the system can be fine though. Have you done any tech work on computers? In general if you really want to know I would open the system up and inspect it visually (don't touch things inside but you can see if there's much rust damage to the system). If not you could just plug it in to a surge protector and test it out.

On the bright side the keyboard is just an adb keyboard probably which you can most likely find at a thrift store or goodwill computer store for cheap ($5). Mouse would be the same and can daisy chain to the keyboard.

Ok, that's why I was asking. Depending on age/years you remember using the system (course, looking will be the definitive answer heh) it would fall under Apple software, not Mac. That's an Apple IIGS, the only desktop form factor Apple computer before everything went Mac (well one could argue for the Apple III but I can confidently say that's not what you had).

On the bright side the IIgs is also an adb connector for the keyboard if that's missing so it's compatible between Mac and Apple which is a cool system if that's indeed what you have.

If you're uncomfortable opening up the case (although the cases are usually fairly simple to open, just not fiddling with the insides which can be another ballgame) you could probably just risk it and plug it in and see if it lets out any magic smoke. Not the best advice in the world I know, but simple. There also may be some other collectors in the PA area that might be willing to take a look at it with you too, or you could take it apart and snap some pictures and post them here or any other vintage computer forum and I'm sure you'll get some helpful folks to walk you through things.
