Yeah that was my thought, taking advantage of the already in place connections. Micro-atx would also be a similar solution.

Possibly a good idea, but I'd have to find an old laptop small enough to go into the back. Should be easier to interface with the monitor with that sort of project :o)

Possibly a bit over zealous but you could always try and turn it into a little MAME arcade.

Hi all,
I've recently recovered an imac from work that was being thrown out. When I got it home it had been gutted of a lot of parts, but still appears to have a working screen :o) What I want to do is find something suitably innovative to do to it, perhaps convert it to put an old 8 bit computer inside, or turn it into a tv :o) Anyway, I have done a video on it, please view and leave suggestions.
