I have to concur with Curtis. The motherboard in used the 5155 was an XT board.

The entry is WRONG!

The motherboard used in this unit was a standard XT motherboard with 8 slots.

I still have one of these, complete with documentation and canvas case. Hardware mods on my machine include an 286 (31Mhz equivalent of XT) motherboard; 1Mb of memory; SCSI 80 Mb hard disk, PCjr monitor; power switch for internal monitor; and a 1200 baud modem. It worked a few years ago the last time I tried powering it up.

I've seen them sold for $250 plus

I also have a 5155. I recently put an AST SixPak expansion card with 384 Kb into the unit. Now it's a completely functional, 640K IBM system. Runs great. It was given to me by a friend. When I received it, it was very close to brand new. What a find! I enjoy taking it out and firing it up from time to time. Another friend gave me a load of old IBM XT vintage software. It's just like the good ol' days!

I have an IBM Portable Computer Model 5155 in working condition. This thing is cool, does it have a value?

Dave
