Lunar Lander was one of the 4 games available on the Star Trek Compucolor Sof-Disk disk (later called Star Trip), along with Star Trek, Shoot and Tic-Tac-Toe.

According to the release date, Lunar Lander was more an adaptation of Moonlander, an early computer game designed by Jack Burness in 1973 that ran on the DEC GT40 graphics terminal (typically downloaded from a PDP-10 mainframe computer), than a graphic version inspired by Atari's Lunar Lander (itself inspired by Moonlander).
