Tic-Tac-Toe / Shooting Gallery / Doodle / Quadra-Doodle

This cartridge, the first of the serie, offers 4 solo games: Tic-Tac-Toe, Shooting Gallery, Doodle and Quadra-Doodle.

Tic-Tac-Toe

"You play a game of Tic-Tac-Toe against the machine. You have the X's, the machine has the O's. The object is to get your three X's in a line before the machine gets its O's in a line. You always get to start first."

Simple nought and crosses game. The only reference to a previous tic-tac-toe game is the first videogame ever: OXO, programmed by A.S. Douglas in 1952 on an EDSAC computer.

Shooting Gallery

"The object of Shooting Gallery is to shoot a "ball" from a "rifle" on the right side of the screen. The "rifle" is pre-positioned and will only change position when the target is hit. Each hit produces a new "rifle" position."

Shooting Gallery is an original game and surely the most interesting one on this cartridge.

Doodle

Doodle is very simple program. You can move a dot around the screen to draw patterns. You can change the color of the dot (blue, green or red) and its size. You also have an erase mode.

Quadra-Doodle

Watch the system draw random patterns on screen! You can switch between Doodle and Quadra-Doodle to control some parameters like the size of the pen or the erase mode.
