Jet Fighter

Jet Fighter puts the players in the middle of a split-second one-on-one air battle. The object being to hit your opponent more times than they hit you in the specified time frame. You get a point every time you hit your opponent and vice versa. When hit, your plane spins around and an explosion noise is heard. After a few seconds, the plane recovers then flies off in another random direction ready to fire again.

Developped by Lyle Rains, Jet Fighter seems to be based (hardware and gameplay) on the arcade hit Tank released the same year.

The game can be played with two players or against the computer, a feature not that common in 1975! Display is in black and white with a colour overlays on which are painted clouds.

Jet Fighter inspired one of the variations of the famous Atari 2600 cartridge: Combat.
