The Super PONG (model C-140) is a follow up to the orignal Atari Pong (model C-100). Compared to its brother which could only play one game of pong, Super Pong offers 4 different pong games.
Like the C-100, the C-140 is based on an Atari pong-in-a-chip IC (C010073-01) which was revolutionnary for the time. The on-screen scoring as well was a feature scarcely found on other pong systems.
Like all first Atari pong systems, the C-140 was also sold by Sears. It was the same as Atari's model, but with detachable controllers, and a woodgrain style.
We need more info about this pong ! If you designed, used, or have more info about this system,

Sears was taking orders for Christmas delivery of the new Super Pong game. It was the most anticipated gift for Christmas! Atari was building the set top boxes and dual controllers, the whole system - minus the microchip. The micro electronic chip was being manufactured by a group out of Texas, struggling with a serious corrosion problem.
There was a very serious concern that the manufacturing problem was not going to be resolved before Christmas. Sears, Atari and the chip mfg were in trouble, and most of all all of those orders would fail at the worst time. Santa’s requests, for the most sought after gift that Christmas, would not be filled. Many folks would be so disappointed!
MICARL, Motorola Integrated Circuit Advanced Research Lab committed to help out! The Lab and so many folks worked tirelessly and rescued Super Pong and all of Sears Christmas orders! Atari donated several Super Pong Systems to MICARL for an employee drawing. I was a technician in the MICARL, CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) Technology group at the time. All were proud to help and not let the Grinch steal Christmas.
MICARL was located in Motorola, in Mesa Arizona on Broadway and Dobson Rds.

I love this system. I got mine from deep in the basement in 2015 and I LOVE this thing! Its a real classic. The power cable is broken so I have to use the batteries but it has a surprisingly good battery life. All in all this is a solid system.
