CHALLENGER II

This computer is based on the MODEL 500 CPU board. It is actually a Super Kit (see Model 500) assembled with a cassette interface and a keyboard. OHIO Scientific presented two enhanced versions of the Challenger IIP : the Challenger II Disk Systems and the Challenger III.

The Disk System version came with 16 KB of RAM (expandable to 192 KB)instead of ROM BASIC and one or two 8'' F.D. drives. The disk BASIC was automatically loaded into the RAM. Up to 4 independant users could be connected simultaneously. The basic version with a single F.D. drive costed $1964.

Please consider donating your old computer / videogame system to Old-Computers.com or one of our partners from anywhere in the world (Europe, America, Asia, etc.).

I see this in 1985 in primary school in Macedonia. It was using for learning purposes.
