| Monday 26th March 2012 | Conrad Russo (Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada) | | The FMR-50, the predecessor to this machine, was actually the basis for the famous and fabled FM-TOWNS system. It is even possible to use FMR-50 expansion cards with the FM-TOWNS, provided you used a simple passive adapter. The ethernet card in my FM-TOWNS II UR is an FMR-50 ethernet card connected to an adapter. As far as I know, some FMR-50 will run unmodified on the FM-TOWNS as well. |
