The Coleco Telstar Combat! system is powered by a special chipset, the AY-3-8700, created by General Instruments. This piece of electronic offers 4 game variations based on the popular arcade hit Tank, made by Kee Games back in 1974.

The result is almost identical to the original version.

The four variations are: Combat, Night Battle, Robot Battle and Camouflage Combat.

The AY-3-8700 was popular and powered some other systems and cartridges.
